William Cerniuk serves as the Technical Program Director for the VA Mobile Health Provider Program where he oversees and directs the implementation of medical mobile technology across the VA enterprise. Mr. Cerniuk began his career working at the Indian Head Naval Base on the Tomahawk missile system and was able to claim the job title of "rocket scientist". Since that time Mr. Cerniuk has gained experience bringing technology to bear in a wide array of solutions across a variety of industries including DoD (Army and Navy), computer software (Apple, IBM), broadcast television (CBS, ESPN, Fremantle Media), live event production (Military Idol), airline (American Air, Sabre), publishing (Simon & Schuster), telecommunications (Southwestern Bell, GTE), gas and oil (Mobil Oil), apparel (Reebok, Vanity Fair Corp), and now healthcare with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. Mr. Cerniuk has enjoyed a diverse career in large scale program management, commercial software product development, human interface design, as well as software and systems engineering, and brings his expertise to bear as a staunch advocate for clinical staff in transforming health care delivery to Veterans through the use of mobile technology within the Veterans Health Administration.
